Terkut Vaasasta. On kehittynyt Andre loistavaksi laulajaksi. Heittää baareissa soolo keikkoja. Mikä tahansa Elviksestä Priestiin virheettömästi taittuu.

Shadowman written by:
Music: Jimmy Westerlund, Geir Rönning, Sören Kronqvist
Lyrics by: Jimmy Westerlund, Geir Rönning

Produced & Mixed by Jimmy Westerlund

ONE DESIRE released their self-titled debut to massive acclaim. With a true hit single, 'Hurt' (nearly 2 million views on Youtube, 3 million streams on Spotify) the band found their way to the forefront of the melodic rock scene. A couple of successful European tours with Eclipse and H.E.A.T were followed by more dates and festivals through the end of 2017, before the band headed back to the studio to start work on their sophomore release.

In the works for a little over two years, the resulting album “Midnight Empire” generously repays the long wait the fans have had to suffer for new music from the band. It’s a more mature, at times adventurous, album, but still with an unbelievable hookiness that fans know and love from the debut. This is simply your album of the year if you like, no LOVE Melodic Rock. It’s going to be quite impossible to top this!

Tracklist:
1. Shadowman
2. After You’re Gone
3. Down And Dirty
4. Godsent Extasy
5. Through The Fire
6. Heroes
7. Rio
8. Battlefield Of Love
9. Killer Queen
10. Only When I Breathe

Line-up:
André Linman – lead vocals, guitars
Jimmy Westerlund – guitars, bg vocals, lead vocals (5)
Ossi Sivula – drums
Jonas Kuhlberg – bass

Kun nuo aiemmat levyt ovat hittien (I Don't Wanna Say I'm Sorry, The Downfall Of Eden, jne.) lisäksi kärsineet oman kuunteluni perusteella runsaammista fillereistä. Mutta näin nämä asiat koetaan.

Heh, hyvä ajoitus, kun juuri hetki sitten julkaisivat uuden singlen :D Lisa Miskowsky-cover; vissiin joskus In Flamesille vieraillut neiti.

Firetribeltä toinen single, hyvä on, kuten ensimmäinenkin:

https://youtu.be/BxFYb4MrwdQ

Yllättävän kovan He Saw It Comin' -albumin parisen vuotta sitten julkaissut Jack Russell taas on lämmittelemässä vanhaa Great Whiten Once Bitten-albumia mutta akustisesti:
Former GREAT WHITE and current JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE frontman Jack Russell will release a very special acoustic album revisiting GREAT WHITE's 1987 multi-platinum masterpiece "Once Bitten" featuring some of their biggest and most recognizable hits, including "Save Your Love" and "Rock Me". Aided by the likes of guitarist Robby Lochner (who also produced and mixed the album), longtime GREAT WHITE bassist Tony Montana (now on guitar), bassist Dan McNay and drummer Dickie Fliszar, these songs have been stripped to their emotional core, spotlighting the intensely passionate story at the heart of each song. Just check out the new version of the unforgettable ballad "Save Your Love", which has been shorn of all rockstar pomp to reveal a heartfelt hymn yearning, love and loss. Or just watch the new video, directed by Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films (QUEENSRŸCHE, TOM KEIFER), which communicates the song's message powerfully.

Russell explains: "'Once Bitten' is one of my favorite albums that we did. I always wondered what it would sound like done acoustically. The experience recording this unplugged version was really neat. It brought back a lot of memories of the original recording session, things I had forgotten about. Interestingly, the songs that I thought wouldn't translate acoustically like 'Livin' On The Edge' and 'Never Change Heart', the heavier songs, came out the best. Now, I'm looking forward to doing it again for '…Twice Shy'."

"Once Bitten Acoustic Bytes" will be available everywhere starting May 1 on digital as well as CD and a limited-edition blue vinyl LP from Deadline Music, a division of Cleopatra Records, Inc.

Track listing:

01. Lady Redlight
02. Gonna Getcha
03. Rock Me
04. All Over Now
05. Mistreater
06. Never Change Heart
07. Fast Road
08. Livin' On The Edge
09. Save Your Love
10. Babe (I'm Gonna Leave You)

JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE's debut LP, "He Saw It Comin'", was released in January 2017 and featured the singles "Blame It On The Night", "Sign Of The Times" and "Love Don't Live Here".

Russell was fired from GREAT WHITE in December 2011 (after being on hiatus from the group since 2009). He sued his onetime bandmates the following year over their continued use of the GREAT WHITE name after Jack had taken a leave of absence from the band for medical reasons. A short time later, Russell was countersued by Mark Kendall, Michael Lardie and Audie Desbrow, claiming the vocalist's self-destructive behavior was damaging the GREAT WHITE name (they also alleged he was charging promoters less for his own touring version of GREAT WHITE). The parties settled in July 2013 without going to trial, with Russell now performing as JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE while the others are continuing as GREAT WHITE.

Fortunen uusi The Gun’s Still Smokin’ -Live täytyy ensi tilassa laittaa tilaukseen, kun unohtui ennakkoon niin tehdä:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAPt2gmJ0FU
To celebrate the release of their then new studio album, “II", Fortune traveled to Milan, Italy for the 2019 edition of the Frontiers Rock Festival to play a rare live set. A milestone performance, which happened on April 27, 2019, the set will now be released as “The Gun’s Still Smokin’ Live”, a CD/DVD.

Fortune released their self-titled debut album in 1985 on Camel/MCA Records. The album is still highly regarded today by fans of the AOR genre thanks to the soaring vocals of Larry Greene (also featured on the Top Gun soundtrack) and to the magnificent blending of the keyboards of Roger Scott Craig with Richard Fortune’s guitar and Mick Fortune's rhythmic drumming. Sadly, the band called it quits shortly after the release due to their label, Camel, going bankrupt.

The band remained silent for years and while Larry Greene and Roger Scott Craig started working together with the band Harlan Cage, the Fortune brothers started the band back up again as a trio in 2006, until a proper band reunion happened in 2016 when the band performed at “Rockingham Rock Festival” and – by public demand – again in 2017.

These appearances led to discussions with Frontiers about a new studio album, “II”, which was released in 2019.

A unique, and rare, performance, this is a must see and hear for all AOR fans!

Tracklist:
1. Thrill Of It All
2. Don’t Say You Love Me
3. Bad Blood
4. What A Fool I’ve Been
5. Through The Fire
6. Deep In The Heart Of The Night
7. The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter
8. Shelter Of The Night
9. Dearborn Station
10. Freedom Road

Line-up:
Richard Fortune - Lead guitar / Vocals
Mick Fortune - Drums
L.A. Greene - Lead vocals
Ricky Rat - Bass / Vocals
Mark Nilan - Keyboards

Pride Of Lionsilta uutta, albumi Lion Heart lokakuussa; Jim Peterikin tunnistaa ja aloitusriffistä :D

https://youtu.be/tPvsZpwh2a8
Pride Of Lions, the revered melodic rock band featuring the legendary ‘Eye of The Tiger’ songwriter and The Ides Of March member Jim Peterik together with powerhouse vocalist Toby Hitchcock, are back with their fabulous sixth studio album, “Lion Heart” on October 9, 2020.

Jim Peterik has never lost his verve for melodic rock, a style of music he inarguably helped forge. Pride Of Lions showcases everything that you should love about the genre: powerful vocals, thanks to Toby Hitchcock, and unforgettable melodies. And the new songs and performances truly show what a “lion heart" Peterik still is. The opening cut, the title track, blazes from the speakers gaining steam with every chorus. Future classics like “Carry Me Back” with a truly unforgettable hook, to the mesmerizing magic of “Unfinished Heart”, and the majesty of an epic song like “Rock and Roll Boomtown” illustrate why this record has everything to please all the melodic rock fans out there.

Powerhouse American vocalist Toby Hitchcock came to the attention of melodic rock fans on the now legendary debut album from Pride of Lions. Often compared to Bobby Kimball (TOTO), Jimi Jamison (Survivor), and Lou Gramm (Foreigner), Hitchcock’s voice has the depth, feeling and extension of each of them, while still keeping his own trademark. His brilliant voice makes him an absolute star in the current melodic rock scene.

Since the start of Pride of Lions, Jim Peterik wanted to take listeners back to the glory of his best, most successful songs. His name is rightfully in the pantheon of great songwriters in melodic rock due to his love for melody and driving rock. His phenomenal rise to the top was borne on the back of amazing songs he co-wrote like “Eye Of The Tiger” from the film “Rocky III” ( an indelible classic), “The Search Is Over”, “High On You”, and “I Can’t Hold Back”. Further hits from films followed like “Burning Heart” from “Rocky IV” and Jim co-wrote the theme song of the seminal animation classic “Heavy Metal” with Sammy Hagar. A long lasting and fruitful relationship started in 1980 between Jim and the southern-rock group .38 Special, where he co-wrote their platinum hits “Hold On Loosely”, “Caught Up In You”, “Wild-Eyed Southern Boys”, “Fantasy Girl”, and “Rockin’ Into The Night”. Their collaboration continues to this day. Jim has also written with the beloved Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Kiitos tästä. Loistava biisi. Peterikin lauluääni on kyllä mielyttävä tässä. Sooloilutkin samoin.
