Ovat nuo kertsit todellakin erilaisia. Muutamassa rallissa ollaan kuin juustofonduen äärellä (tjeu: Let This River Flow). Mikä nyt kenellekin on homoseksuaalisuuden määritelmä, en noiden perusteella sellaista johtopäätöstä menisi tekemään. Imelää on silti, huh huh.

Tekivät sitten jatko-osan Light The Torchin videolle tästä Deliverance Is Mine biisistä. Video nähtävissä blabbermouthissa: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbe ... mID=143519

Itse tykkäsin kyllä Light The Torchin videosta enemmän.

No, täytynee tutustua tilanteeseen. Sworn to a Great Dividen jälkeen odotukset on aika nollissa, olikohan sillä levyllä yksi vai kaksi suht kuunneltavaa biisiä ja loput aivan täyttä kuraa.

Olen Imperiumin arvostelijan kanssa lähes täysin erimieltä, sillä mielestäni nämä aggressiivisemmat biisit kuulostavat paljon hitaampia paremmilta, lukuunottamati King Of The Thresholdia, joka kieltämäti kuulostaa vähän väkisinväännetyltä. Mielestäni albumi olisi paljon raskaampi kokonaisuus, jos siitä olisi pudotettu toinen parivaljakosta Let This River Flow - The Akuma Afterglow pois.

SOILWORK, ARCH ENEMY Members Join Forces In THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA - Mar. 24, 2011

Two songs from THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA — the new classic-rock band featuring Björn Strid (SOILWORK) and Sharlee D' Angelo (ARCH ENEMY, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS), can be streamed below.

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA started like so many others as an innocent yet serious drunken idea when Strid and David Andersson (MEAN STREAK, session musician for SOILWORK) were on the road together somewhere in North America in 2007. Björn and David were bonding over what they considered "classic" or not, from rock and roll conspiracies to being arrested in a lobby with nothing but leather pants on. All those scenarios, fictional or real, needed a soundtrack. They also came to think that whether you're on a metal tour or not, a lot of classic rock songs say it all and can really lend you a helping hand and make you forget about everything, especially when in motion or travelling. The classic escape. The never-ending road trip. The transatlantic night flight. It may sound simple and naive, but what it all comes down to is that we all need that soundtrack to feel extra special, whether you have been arrested in a lobby or not.

It didn't take long before bass player D' Angelo joined forces as well as keyboard player Richard Larsson (VON BENZO) and drummer Jonas Källsbäck (MEAN STREAK). The goal was to reclaim the '70s/early '80s sense for classic melody, the forgotten recipe to a timeless song, preferably a song mentioning a city, street name or an exhilarating alcoholic beverage. Anything that will have you spitting out the word "classic." From "Tarot Woman" to "Badlands", from "Rhiannon" to "Running on Empty", from "Blind Man" to "Night Moves", from "Deuce" to "Separate Ways", from "Elected" to "Set me Free". The list goes on. It's all about reclaiming the "classic."

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is currently unsigned but are looking into recording its debut album this summer.

Peter Wichers leaves Soilwork.

Due to creative differences, Peter Wichers and Soilwork have decided to part ways for the second time.

Peters statement is as follows:

I want to thank everyone who has supported Soilwork over the years. It has been a wild and fun ride, but its time for me to explore different options in my career. I will cherish all the amazing moments I have gathered from my time with Soilwork, and I would not be where I am today without the help from you Fans, my family and Soilwork.

Thank you!
Peter Wichers

Hieno soittaja, enkä mitään mieheltä ota pois, mutta ei ainakaan Panic Broadcastilla tuonut mitään sellaista enää bändiin, mitä ilman ei voisi elää.

Uusi kitaristi löytyi sitten heti.
“Swedish melodic metallers Soilwork have officially announced the arrival among their ranks of guitarist and long-time friend David Andersson (Night Flight Orchestra). “We’re super stoked to have David with us”, said vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid. “He’s a blast to be around and a kick ass guitarist. Plus, we’ve known him for so many years, from all the touring together, we just know he’s a perfect fit for us.” Andersson has toured on and off with Soilwork since 2006, and most recently during the 2011 festival season in support of the band’s acclaimed eighth album “The Panic Broadcast”.

Regarding the recently announced split with founding guitarist Peter Wichers, who first left the band in 2005 only to return four years later, Speed commented: “We just had to do this. It’s in the best interest of both him and us. Soilwork was born to be out there, tearing up the stage. Peter’s been unable to commit to the kind of touring we need to do and it’s time for us to move on. David’s played with us for so long, he’s really grown into the band. It feels natural, like a seamless transition. We’re thankful for everything Peter has contributed to Soilwork over the years and we sincerely wish him the best.”

Soilwork are currently in the process of writing new music for their ninth album, “The Living Infinite”. “We’re working our asses off to put this record together”, said Strid. “It’s gonna be fantastic, the songs and ideas are flowing like crazy! As far as the musical direction goes, there’s tons of crushing, high energy, in-your-face metal. Trust me, we’re not about to go mellow anytime soon!”

SOILWORK Recording Double Album - Aug. 30, 2012

Swedish metallers SOILWORK are currently in the studio with producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, BLOODBATH) recording the follow-up to their 2010 release, "The Panic Broadcast". The Soilworkers have been toiling away and burning many a midnight oil to bring us not just one CD of amazing music, but two! That's right, SOILWORK's upcoming album, "The Living Infinite", will be a double album!

Commented SOILWORK vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid: "So here's the scoop. Me and the boys have been waiting to share this for quite some time now: 'The Living Infinite' will be a double album! A REAL double album, in the true sense of the word, which means no fillers and no leftovers.

"I've been wanting to do this for a while and I proposed the idea to the rest of the guys in the band during our festival tour last summer. Everybody liked the title 'The Living Infinite' and also the idea of working towards the goal of releasing a double album. David Andersson was already playing with us last summer, so he has also been a part of this goal from the start.

"I feel very excited and proud that we've managed to find the inspiration and dedication it takes to create somewhat of a conceptual double album, especially since it's dealing with a lot of existential questions.

"We are currently hard at work in the studio, putting this beast on tape. Things are sounding incredibly good so far.

"So excited about this and can't wait to share the awesomeness with you all!"

"The Living Infinite" will mark the recording debut of SOILWORK's longtime touring guitarist David Andersson (NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA).

1.3. uusi kiekko pihalla.
The Living Infinite, the ninth studio album and first dual-disc release by Swedish melodic metal maestros SOILWORK, will be unleashed on February 27th in Asia (via license to Marquee Records), in Europe on March 1st, and in North America on March 5th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Produced by Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, BLOODBATH), The Living Infinite features artwork by MNEMIC’s Mircea Eftemie Gabriel who shares:

"Seven years ago, I created the artwork for the Stabbing The Drama album and I can’t believe how time flies! Here we are, with sexy gray hairs, working with my friends in SOILWORK again. This time, we built the cover around a maritime concept, aiming for something direct and symbolic. I believe we achieved that quite well. From my creative deck, I salute you and say: ‘Long Live The Living Infinite.’"

SOILWORK states:

“After commissioning some pretty elaborate covers for the last couple of records, we decided to try something more sober and design-oriented for The Living Infinite. Who better to call than the man who created the iconic Stabbing The Drama cover? Mircea Gabriel Eftemie is not only a close friend but also an incredible graphic designer. We’re all stoked about his work which is different from anything SOILWORK has ever done and perfectly suits the elegant oceanic concept of The Living Infinite. Enjoy folks!”

Tracklisting for The Living Infinite is as follows:

CD 1

01. Spectrum Of Eternity
02. Memories Confined
03. This Momentary Bliss

05. The Living Infinite I
06. Let The First Wave Rise

Uusi biisi: Spectrum of Eternity.

Kyllä lähtee, täytyy ihan mielenkiinnolla odotella, miltä tuplalevy kokonaisuudessaan kuulostaa.

No jopas, toihan oli aikas iskevä biisi. Tuli jopa ajoittain mieleen Strapping Young Lad, mikä on aina positiivista. Jospa sieltä tulisi pitkästä aikaan hyvä levy, edellisestä (Stabbing the Drama) onkin jo vierähtänyt tovi.

Something old, something new, something borrowed...itse en ainakaan pysy pöksyissäni.

Ohhoh. Olipas siinä haipakkaa menoa. Vähemmän odotin, mutta täähän potkii ihan helvetin hyvin. Piti oikeen parikin kertaa kuunnella.
Nostaa kyllä odotuksia paremman levyn suhteen.
Olihan edellisellä levyllä muutamat pienet hetkensä vaikkei kokonaisuus ihan loppuun asti kantanut, mutta sitä edeltävä Sworn To A Great Divide oli aikalailla kevyt ja kertakäyttöinen.

Molemmat biisit toimii oikein hyvin, tuplalevyn kokonaisuudesta olen silti varovaisen skeptinen.

Spectrum of Eternityn blastit ja laulumelodia, I might've soiled myself. :partee:
