Ketjun vanhan nimen suuntaan sitten vaihteeksi; anselmo suositteli tällaista fb:n puolella ja kyllähän nämä saksalaiset(!) pitää ottaa tarkempaan kuunteluun.

En löytänyt hakutoiminnolla mitään viitteitä sellaisesta kokoonpanosta kuin Gathering Of Kings.

Yhtenä pääjehuna on Erik Mårtensson.

Hardline - Life (26.4.2019)

Post by Jussi »

Uusi biisi Hardlineltä! Kerrankin ei ole mainoslöpinää tuo vaikutteiden hakeminen debyytiltä, sillä ainakin ite kuulen Double Eclipsen soundia tässä kappaleessa verrattuna edellisiin, tämän vuosituhannen aiempiin albumeihinsa.

https://youtu.be/EDyGfOXHr9c
Frontiers wrote:Hardline is back with a new studio album, “Life”! In the past two years, Hardline has performed a number of shows across Europe, including festivals and more intimate gigs, and that live “energy” can certainly be felt on their new studio album. The band went back to 1992's “Double Eclipse” album for influence for the songs on this record, but additionally they also looked a little closer in the rearview at the tremendous predecessor to this album, “Human Nature”. The resulting album, LIFE, perfectly blends the influences of those two albums and sees Hardline heavier, stronger, bigger, and better than ever. The band entered the studio feeling loose and relaxed from all their gigging. The two newest members, Marco Di Salvia on drums and Mario Percudani on guitar, had gelled seamlessly with the rest of the band from all those shows and combined with Anna Portalupi's pulsating rhythms and Alessandro Del Vecchio's songwriting and production abilities, LIFE was almost effortless for the band to create. And of course, Johnny Gioeli sings like only he can over top of these incredible musicians. LIFE will be released April 26, 2019

Mötley Crüe - The Dirt (est. 1981)

Post by Jussi »

https://youtu.be/GTOEkgqkS6c

Vaikka Gioeli onkin suosikkilaulajiani!

Isoja kertosäkeitä, kasaria ja heviä – näistä on uusi Enforcerin “Zenith” tehty
- 19.04.2019

https://kaaoszine.fi/isoja-kertosakeita ... ith-tehty/

“Die for the Devil” aloittaa levyn häpeilemättömän tarttuvalla meinigillä. Pankki räjäytetään kuitenkin heti seuraavan kappaleen pärähtäessä eetteriin; levyn teemakappale “Zenith of the Black Sun” alkaa isosti ja keskitempoisesti. “The End of a Universe” jatkaa kakkoskappaleen linjalla ja tuo mukanaan hieman eeppisempää tunnelmaa. “Sail On” on levyn erikoisin kappale; hauskankuuloinen biisi on ehkä jo liikaakin muusta maailmasta irrallinen kokeilu loppuun levyyn nähden. Tehokkaita pop-koukkuja esittelee myös “One Thousand Years of Darkness”. Seuraavaksi “Thunder and Hell” heittää taas speed-vaihteen silmään, mutta biisi on valitettavasti täytemateriaalia. Anthemimainen ja kuninkaallinen “Forever We Worship the Dark” palauttaa levyn kuosiin “Ode to Deathin” päättäessä lätyn mystisiin tunnelmiin tuoden alussa mieleen myöhempien aikojen Black Sabbathin, kunnes meno muuttuu vielä astetta eeppisemmäksi. Oivallinen päätösbiisi.

Aikaisempaan nähden yhtyeen sointi on pehmentynyt melkoisesti. “Zenith” on soundejaan myöten edeltäjiään “mainstreamimpi”, mutta en väittäisi tätä millään tasolla huonoksi asiaksi. Yhtyeen tunnistaa edelleen kuitenkin samaksi, joka vuonna 2008 julkaisi debyyttinsä. Kehitys tuntuukin lähinnä luonnolliselta, eikä bändiä todellakaan voi syyttää itsensä toistamisesta. Enforcer taitaa siis popmaisen linjan suvereenisti, ja “Zenith” on mukaansatempaava retrohevintäyteinen albumi, joka kannattaa painaa korvan taakse – myös niiden, joille maistuu Mötley Crüemainen tukkahevi.
8/10

Sebastian ei saa toivomaansa deluxe editionia eikä Skid Rown äijiä kanssaan lauteille ykköslevyn 30-vuotisjuhlienkaan kunniaksi, mutta vähintääkin mielenkiintoista olisi saada näitä arkistojen helmiä julkaisuiksi asti...

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/sebast ... -together/

On Rhino's recent 30th anniversary "deluxe" digital reissue of "Skid Row":

Sebastian: "At one time, the first SKID ROW record was the number six top-selling record in Atlantic Records history. I saw a chart years ago. Maybe it's not number six now, but nobody since I saw that chart has sold millions of records, because the Internet happened, so I doubt that it changed that much. In no way is a deluxe version of a record a file. That's backwards. What I really don't get is the same company who [in 2017] put out a vinyl copy of [SKID ROW's 1992 covers EP] 'B-Side Ourselves' elected to not do a vinyl copy of the first SKID ROW record, which makes me mentally cuckoo. I don't get it; I don't understand it. I don't know who makes these decisions, but I would say to the fans, 'Fingers crossed for 35,' because the fans deserve a real deluxe version. The funniest thing was when I clicked on [the link], it says, 'Note: Liner notes not included,' in big capital letters. I'm like, 'Whoa — why would I expect something so extravagant as liner notes in a fucking deluxe version? Give me a fucking break!' If all you fans want something as crazy as liner notes, you'll have to find the un-deluxe version, so you can see who produced it, where it was recorded. All that extravagant detail, you'll have to go find the fucking cassette that we put out in '89. Unbelievable... You know how you see the band do an unboxing of their album? I was going to do the unboxing of the iTunes MP3, which would be very fucking exciting for everyone to watch. [Laughs] 'Here we go! Okay, everybody. I'm going to put my credit card info into my computer now. Click. Enter. Oh, here comes the download! Here it is! I've got it!'"

On whether he had any involvement in the reissue:

Sebastian: "This is all a record company thing. This is not from the band. I don't want the fans thinking is what we would give them. I have a whole house full of SKID ROW memorabilia. I have a whole case full of DATs. We would record every show from the soundboard on a DAT tape, and I was the only one that wanted these tapes after the show. I collected them. I've got a whole box of them. I've got video — everything you would ever want to put out. I have reel-to-reel studio tapes of songs that we never put out from Electric Lady [Studios] that are in my closet collecting dust. I've got all the video masters from [VHS releases] 'Roadkill' and 'Oh Say Can You Scream'. If someone wants to really do a deluxe version some day, I would really be interested in that, with some real stuff that's never been heard."

Minä haluaisin saada käsiini Bachin ja McCoyn aikoinaan tekemät tallenteet. Muodossa tai toisessa.

Ketjun sivulla 26 nimimerrki Jonius kyseli, että kuinka toimii Confess.
Näin massiivisella parinkymmenen sivun viiveellä vastaan, että hiljattain bändin löytäneenä toimii
niin pirun hyvin. Levyt lähti heti tilaukseen. Olivat Inferno Recodsin alessa 2,99€ kipale.
Suosittelen, takuuvarmaa Ruotsalaista osaamista.

Tom Keifer - Rise (13.9.2019)

Post by Jussi »

Hra Cinderella julkaisee toisen soololevynsä Rise piakkoin; hyvä homma, mie kun pidin 2013 The Way Life Goesista kuitenkin aika paljon.
fb wrote: July 30, 2019 -- Timing, as the saying goes, is everything. And when you’re a career artist like TOM KEIFER, you know exactly what it takes to get to the pinnacle and just how precarious it can be once you reach the top. After years of touring and growing with his solo band, KEIFER feels the timing is right for a new record with #keiferband.

KEIFER with #keiferband--Savannah Keifer, Tony Higbee, Billy Mercer, Kendra Chantelle, Jarred Pope, Kory Myers—are ready to RISE to yet another peak in their ongoing music journey with the September 13 release of his second solo album on Cleopatra Records. Pre-orders of the album are available today at TomKeifer.com/Preorder on all formats, including CD (digipak), vinyl (in your choice of red, blue, or green) and digital, which will include an instant download of the first single, “The Death Of Me.”

A video for “The Death Of Me”—written by KEIFER and his wife Savannah, and directed by Vicente Cordero--was released today. Though TOM KEIFER has faced many ups and downs all throughout his storied career, his unyielding resilience can be found well within the grooves and lyrics of the song. “We created ‘The Death of Me’ to inspire people not to give in to or be defeated by the seemingly insurmountable lows that we all sometimes face, but rather to Rise and overcome them,” he says. The clip can be seen here: https://youtu.be/m0LrgRh7ak4.

His creative renaissance is fully on display via the eleven tough ’n’ tender tracks that comprise RISE.
Produced by TOM KEIFER, Savannah Keifer, and Kyle O’Connor, RISE scales renewed sonic heights. From the tasty slide work that stamps “Touching the Divine,” the nontraditionally arranged, heavy, dark jam of “Untitled,” the breakneck thrust of “All Amped Up” to the tender coda of “You Believe in Me,” RISE signifies the ongoing evolution of the former Cinderella frontman as a person, songwriter, and bandleader. It’s the aural portrait of an artist who, to borrow a phrase, is still climbing

“When this band came together, we all felt a bit like broken souls, each with our own unique story,” he explains. “If you ask anyone in the band, they would all say this band came along at just the right time. Every human who walks this planet faces challenges and extreme adversity they have to overcome. As a band, we feel fortunate to be able to face those things together. There is a piece of every band member in the ‘The Death of Me’ as well as throughout the entire RISE album.”

The common thread to each song on RISE is the intuitive interplay between each member of #keiferband, a tight but loose collective that’s spent the last six-plus years on the road honing their live craft together in support of KEIFER’s critically acclaimed 2013 solo debut, THE WAY LIFE GOES. RISE is the studio-bred equivalent of a band just now realizing the full scope of its powers. “We were trying to capture the feeling of what people have witnessed live with this band,” KEIFER explains. “There’s an off-the-rails, real live feel to RISE — and that’s what we were going for. It shows a real kind of angst and reckless abandon that we tried not to polish too much. And when we pull it back on the ballads, it’s more about the emotion, the soul, and making people feel something in a different way.”

“To me, the perfect rock and roll record is perfectly fucked up,” KEIFER says with a hearty laugh. “You try to make each record interesting and different. I don’t ever want to make the same record twice, even though there’s a common thread between them. Everything doesn’t have to be perfectly in place, but there is a balance you try to strike. Sometimes there may be something about it that’s technically not ‘right,’ but there’s a vibe, an energy and an attitude to it that I always try to preserve.”

THE WAY LIFE GOES - DELUXE EDITION was released October 20, 2017 on Cleopatra Records, which is an expanded compilation of his debut album chocked full of special artwork and bonus content, including the long-awaited studio recording of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends,” which KEIFER performs at all of his concerts, plus a powerful new take on the Cinderella classic “Nobody’s Fool,” newly recorded as a duet with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.

Upon its initial release, THE WAY LIFE GOES garnered rave reviews. To wit:

“A collection of 14 blues howlers, Stones-y rock and, yes, big ballads, the album calls to mind Cinderella but with an even more rootsy undercurrent.”
-- Rolling Stone

“…14 songs that stay true to form – killer blues-rock playing and tones, hooks galore, and strong songwriting. If you’re a fan of harder-edged rock and long to hear genuinely enjoyable new tunes, it may be just the thing; the opener, ‘Solid Ground,’ offers pure Keifer guitar and vocals with a feel reminiscent the Stones’ Exile On Main Street while the remaining tracks are, much like his life the last 15 years, an up-and-down ride.”
-- Vintage Guitar

“...the record features such vital, vibrant guitar tones and parts that are immediate and honest. They also have that cool, interlocking, layered quality that made so many classic rock albums so, well, classic. Keifer flat-out knows how to play vibey guitar parts with ungodly tone, and fans of the Stones, Zeppelin, Steve Marriott, and early Aerosmith should definitely take notice. And, although you wouldn’t wish hemorrhaging vocal cords on anyone, this guy is singing better than ever to complement his great 6-string parts.”
-- Guitar Player

In touring news, TOM KEIFER and #keiferband have been on a vigorous trek ever since the 2013 album release, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon. Their next batch of headlining dates start July 30 in their hometown, Nashville, TN today at The Cowan. Dates are already confirmed through the end of 2019, with more to be added in the coming weeks, and are already being planned for 2020.

Here’s the complete track listing for RISE:

2. The Death Of Me
3. Waiting On The Demons
4. Hype
5. Untitled
6. Rise
7. All Amped Up
8. Breaking Down

MICHAEL MONROE: 'One Man Gang' Album Details Revealed; Lyric Video For Title Track Available

July 30, 2019

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/michae ... available/

Former HANOI ROCKS singer Michael Monroe will release his new album, "One Man Gang", on October 18 via Silver Lining Music.

Monroe innately knows exactly how to sing, swagger and walk the most glamorous and colorful of walks. "One Man Gang" is all about the fun of Friday nights, seven days a week, letting your hair down (or up!) for a dirty, dangerous, damn good time, and embracing a total escape into the rock 'n' roll dream.

Recorded and mixed by Petri Majuri at E-Studio in Sipoo, Finland over three weeks in March 2018, the 12-song record was mixed that following autumn with Monroe and bandmates Rich Jones and Steve Conte on production duties.

With stunning presence, Monroe's vocals blaze their unique trail across catchy, low-slung guitars mixing with saxophones, harmonicas and trumpets, plus a smorgasbord of exciting hooks and melodies. "One Man Gang" is old-skool strut with rudely fresh vigour.

The title track's bombastic bar-room blitz (featuring a guest appearance by Captain Sensible of THE DAMNED) is a valuable reminder that even if born in the gutter, you must always look to the stars.

"It sometimes seems like everybody's pissing on their own parade," says Monroe, "whether that's voting stupid people into power and then complaining about them or whatever, but I'm all about living with a P.M.A. — positive mental attitude — and I'll never allow myself to be forced away from that."

Then there's "Last Train To Tokyo", with the sort of sticky-yet-crispy riff that was designed to take over radios from Japan to Jamaica.

"In the '80s, HANOI ROCKS had a very special relationship with Japan," explains Monroe, "and it will always be one of my favorite countries. Plus, they still live for rock 'n' roll as it should be celebrated, they still have physical product, they still make it crazy, exhausting and really exciting every time you go there, which I am really grateful for."

With the further electric likes of "Junk Planet", "Hollywood Paranoia" and "Wasted Years" on board, "One Man Gang" is going to smash down doors and give the rock 'n' roll scene a swift, and necessary, kick up the ass.

Monroe will soon be striding back towards the arenas he was born to be in, and everything you see is everything you get.

"I do what I do and I'll never change," says Monroe, "I don't dress any different on or off stage because this is who I am… this is the real me."

"One Man Gang" track listing:

01. One Man Gang
02. Last Train To Tokyo
03. Junk Planet
04. Midsummer Nights
05. The Pitfalls Of Being An Outsider
06. Wasted Years
07. In The Tall Grass
08. Black Ties And Red Tape
09. Hollywood Paranoia
10. Heaven Is A Free State
11. Helsinki Shakedown
12. Low Life In High Places

Band lineup:

Michael Monroe - vocals, sax and harmonica
Rich Jones - guitar and vocals
Steve Conte - guitar and vocals
Sami Yaffa - bass
Karl Rockfist - drums

Guest appearances from Captain Sensible (lead guitar on "One Man Gang"), Nasty Suicide (lead guitar on "Wasted Years"), Eicca Toppinen (cello on "Low Life In High Places") and Tero Saarti (trumpet on "Heaven Is A Free State").

Hmmh, nuohan oli tosiaan Firetriben lämmittelijänä eilen Virgin Oilissa, minne sopivat kyllä ihan ok.

Vuoden kiinnostavin musatapaus, imo. Toivottavasti poppisektorilla ei ole säästelty panoksia. :P

Kun nyt näkisi edes BF:n kunnon keikalla ennen kuin sekaantuu enempään sen henkisiä bändejä, Sauna Openissa oli liian "passit kaulassa" -meininki, eikä tullut edes Taste Of A Championia...

Samaa toivon, tuo oli ihan hyvä biisi mutta aiemmilta kolmelta levyltä on jäänyt päällimmäiseksi ajatukseksi itselle vähän turhan progressiivinen lähestymistapa aaooärrään. Mutta tämä kuvaus tuolta yo. musavideon tiedoista kuulostaa just hyvältä & tilatunlaiselta:
Overall this is certainly Work of Art’s most up-tempo and straight ahead album thus far, but – as it should be – some unbelievable softer moments are there as well.

Edellinen H.E.A.T. -albumi jäi ihan tyystin muutamaan kuuntelukertaan. Nyt näyttäisi taas tapahtuneet ryhtiliike parempaan. Tai siis tämähän on ihan helvetin hyvä biisi!
